PrayUK June Bulletin 2008
”His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters” (Revelation 1 v 15).
Dear Friends,
The glory of Jesus that was seen by John on the island of Patmos was so awesome that he fell at His feet as a dead man. The sound of Jesus’ voice was like the sound of a trumpet and of many waters. When Elijah heard the voice of God it was as the sound of a gentle breeze, a still small voice but knowing it was the voice of God, he covered his face with his cloak. God is speaking to His people today and across the world many have been experiencing the sound of the voice of God, drawing them into closer intimacy with Him and stirring them to a new level of alertness and effectiveness in the service of our King. Some have been experiencing the Pentecost sound of a mighty rushing wind whilst others have experienced a still small voice. In whatever way we may hear God there will be a life changing reaction to His holiness and His call on our lives. This is a day when God is doing a new thing, we need to have our eyes open to all that He is doing and our ears open to what He is saying to us. As He calls us and we are drawn after Him others will follow who do not yet know Jesus. This is His purpose as He builds His church and as the bride readies herself for the coming King.
Let us pray that we each hear the voice of God calling to His people and that we enlarge our hearts to catch the big vision that He has for us. Pray that we allow Jesus to draw us, His church and His bride after Him.
When God speaks it will be done. There is a door opening that no man can close. God has a purpose for these times and He will surely accomplish it.
Whether we are hearing the sound that is coming from heaven at the moment or not we have to keep persevering in prayer for ourselves as the bride of Christ and for many to be attracted to the light of Jesus reflected through His people.
May God’s blessing rest upon you and may you be filled up to overflowing with His spirit as you stand in prayer for our land.

PrayUK June Bulletin Notes
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.” (Isaiah 60 v 1,2)
| Day 1 |
"Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you" (Eph 5:14 ) - Continue to pray for the church to wake up and allow the glory of Jesus to shine through us. Pray that His light will shine through us into the darkness that surrounds us. Pray for Christians you know to be more affected by the light of Jesus than the darkness that is in the world. |

Pray that what is spiritually weak will be strengthened. Pray for prodigals to come back to God and come into fellowship with other believers. Pray that we as God’s people will have faith to ask God for the big things which He puts on our hearts as we delight ourselves in Him. Pray that we will allow Him to lead us into His plans for our lives and for the church. |
| Day 4 |
“More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, The LORD on high is mighty” (Psalm 93:4) – Declare the might and glory and power of our God over this nation. Declare His Lordship over the monarchy and over government, local and national. Declare His Lordship over legislation. Declare that He is Lord over schools, hospitals, businesses and every institution and authority in our land. Pray that His glory would be seen and His voice heard by many. |
| Day 5 |
"Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19) – Thank God for what He is doing across our land and in other nations. Pray blessing where you see the Spirit of God at work in your area. Pray for eyes to see and ears to hear where God is at work and for wisdom and strength to be obedient to the leading of His Holy Spirit. |
| Day 6 |
“So Naomi returned, and with her Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, who returned from the land of Moab. And they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest” (Ruth 1:22 ) – Pray that, as many return to a place of intimacy with God, they will realise that there is a harvest to be reaped. Pray for an increasing heart to declare the Gospel of the Kingdom and for open doors to proclaim who Jesus is in our nation. Pray for Christian public figures to stand up and declare their love of The Lord and explain clearly the way to life. |
| Day 7 |
"Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27) – Thank God that He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or imagine. Praise Him that His word will not return to Him empty but will accomplish all that He has sent it for. Thank Him that all His promises are true and that he will build His church and the gates of hell will not be able to stand against it.
NB: Please repeat prayer points for the rest of the month). |
Prayer: Lord we thank you for what you are doing in these days. We ask you for discernment to understand the significance of what we see and hear. We pray for increasing sensitivity to your Holy Spirit as you build your church to be conformed to your likeness. Amen.
