Prayer for Redhill 20th July 2010

based on the meeting documented below

Thank you Lord that you are building your church in the Redhill area. We pray for your church to recognise what you are doing and allow you to do all that you have planned for us and the area we live in. Help us to keep seeking first your kingdom and your righteousness and to step up to a new level in our commitment to you, in our time, money, willingness to be open to Your Holy Spirit and willingness to walk in fellowship with each other. May many give their lives to you in the Redhill area and may your church be full of your people worshipping you in spirit and in truth. In Jesus name. Amen.

The following pictures, scriptures and prophecies were shared by people attending a worship / prayer meeting for the Redhill area on the 20 th July 2010

Three pictures

  1. God building a hot house to mature and grow His people to righteousness
  2. A line of ants encountering an obstruction which has dropped down in front of them. They go around and over the obstacle. God says “When will my people command the mountains to move”.
  3. A huge Tsunami wave is heading straight towards us. If we do not turn our faces towards God we will be shocked by the force of it.

"But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief" (1Th 5:4)

"In the light of the times we are living in we need to be continually praying and giving thanks to God. Make sure we do not put out the fire of God, we need to fan the flame. Do not have contempt for prophecies." (1 Thess 5 v 1 - 11)

"Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1Th 5:23)

Isaiah 62 – Zions glory / a new name

Isaiah 19 – Message to Egypt / judgement

(sense that God was relating this to the restoration of the church and judgement on the worlds system, particularly financial system)

Picture of a very strong man – weight lifter picking up small / light weights. The strong man was proud of himself even though he was capable of picking up much heavier weights.

The picture related to the church, who were not using the strength that God has given but were proud about the small things they were doing. We need to be eating spiritual meat and not milk.

"For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food."
(Heb 5:12)

"For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant." (Heb 5:13)

It is time for the church to stand up and do what we are called to do.

  • Picture of a ring on a finger. – speaking of covenant
  • Picture of long hair like Samson – speaking of strength

(Christians need to understand the power of the new covenant through the blood of Jesus – strength will come through it)

  • Picture of bread stick (French loaf). Top was cut off.

The bread relates to the worlds money system, the top / head being cut off relates to the controlling influences being cut off resulting in hard times financially.

  • People will need to rely on supernatural provision (manna from God).
  • Picture of blood flowing down the streets speaking of hard times coming / hardships and unrest.

Christians will need to be strong to stand in this environment, trusting in God for protection and provision. People will look to Christians to help and support.

Picture of people on gymnasts bars. A lot of people were on the lower bar but some were swinging to get on to a higher bar. God was saying “it is time to move to a higher bar (spiritually)”.

"I heard and my inward parts trembled, At the sound my lips quivered. Decay enters my bones, And in my place I tremble. Because I must wait quietly for the day of distress, For the people to arise who will invade us."(Hab 3:16)

"Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls" (Hab 3:17)

"Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation." (Hab 3:18)

"The Lord GOD is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds' feet, And makes me walk on my high places. For the choir director, on my stringed instruments." (Hab 3:19)

Even though difficult times are coming we can rejoice in God and He will strengthen us.

Psalm 18 (complete psalm)

God is our strength and deliverance

"I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies." (Psa 18:3)
A sense of God reaching down from on high to save us.

Picture of eagles

"Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name." (Mal 3:16)

People who feared God and esteemed Him were listened to and remembered by Him.

"But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap." (Mal 3:2)

"He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness." (Mal 3:3)

"Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years." (Mal 3:4)

God will purify us. Only then will we be fit for God’s purposes

"I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted And justice for the poor." (Psa 140:12)

"Surely the righteous will give thanks to Your name; The upright will dwell in Your presence."
(Psa 140:13)

Picture of the cross
The cross / Jesus is our emergency phone number
It is the case for a lot of people

Picture of a large auditorium with lots of empty seats
A few people were scattered around the auditorium
This was the church at the moment.
Some time soon we will need all the empty seats, the auditorium will be full.

"Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!" (Psa 150:6)
God wants everybody to cry out to Him, the whole church worshipping, crying out together.
Stand up, grow, stand tall, move out in authority.

"Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." (Joh 8:12)

" The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend (overcome) it." (Joh 1:5)

Every time we lay down our heads ask God to meet with us.

Keep moving forwards and changing (to be more like Jesus) – don’t stop seeking Him

Sense of trumpets sounding in worship, picture of embroidered banners on the trumpets (with Kings emblem) welcoming the King

As we are worshipping we are calling heaven to earth

"Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven." (Mat 6:10)
The power of God is waiting to fall, look to the heavens, keep your eyes on God

"But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep." (Joh 10:2)

"To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out." (Joh 10:3)

Jesus is calling His people by name
Persist but do not strive
